Vietnam’s exports to Türkiye increased sharply to 1.52 billion USD

According to the latest preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, by the end of October, Vietnam’s exports to Turkey reached 1.52 billion USD, up 16% over the same period last year (equivalent to an increase in turnover). more than 200 million USD).

Phones and components are the export product group with the largest turnover with 413 million USD, an increase of 19.8% (equivalent to an increase of nearly 70 million USD).

In addition, there are 3 product groups with turnover of 100 million USD or more including: Computers, electronic products and components; machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts; Footwear.
On the contrary, by the end of October, import turnover from Turkey reached 369 million USD, up 4.5% over the same period in 2022 (equivalent to an increase in turnover of nearly 20 million USD). The number of imported goods from Türkiye is less than Vietnam’s exported goods.

The 5 product groups with the largest import turnover from Türkiye include: machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts; fabric; automobile components and spare parts; chemistry; medicine.
In trade relations with Türkiye, our country achieved a large trade surplus. By the end of October, the trade surplus reached nearly 1.15 billion USD.

Vietnam is currently Turkey’s second largest partner among the group of member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), only after Malaysia.

In 2021, bilateral trade between Vietnam and Türkiye only reached 1.6 billion USD. However, by 2022, trade turnover shows signs of recovery, reaching more than 2 billion USD.
